Squid Kids Ink!

Today I wanted to shine my small little spotlight of the internet over toward Squid Kids ink creators of the "So Analog" Series. Definitely my favorite toy maker, I love the 10-doh series and all his new stuff just seems to get better and better. I'm looking forward to the next convention I make it to that has a Squid Kids Booth, if anything to get my first "Knock out" signed :-)

Please go check them out over @ Squid Kids Ink!
They are on Twitter also!

Cartoon Network's Scooby-Doo Action figures Series 1

Review-
Today @ the Alamany Flea market tin San Francisco, I'm on the last lane and find a brand new, great condition full set of series one of the Equity Toys from the cartoon network run of the show. They look great and were a great find!

Shaggy- http://tinyurl.com/7979oqs
Gotta love the original stoner/hippie on Saturday morning cartoons. He and scooby were really the driving characters of this set, but his goofy expression is super fun and overall a great figure. Each figure comes with a glow in the dark ghoul, shaggy comes with a hand held lantern.

Chef Scooby- http://tinyurl.com/6rn26xe
Scooby in a chef hat, with a HUGE burger...what else do you need to be an awesome figure :-) This too comes with a glow in the dark ghoul, which is a little out of place with the chef motif, but it's still a great figure.

Scooby  Doo- http://tinyurl.com/7wm5v94
complete w/ bats and another glow in the dark ghoul I love this figure althrough his back to us in the package, making me unable to see unless I open.

Velma- http://tinyurl.com/89cdu8u
I think Velma was the one they needed to throw in this series to lead to the full set. 2 scoobys a shaggy and a velma, it seems velma was the odd one out. But don't leave her out just yet...she comes w/ a flashlight and a glow in the dark ghoul,,,,not to mention she's one the of original hipsters.

Overall, very glad to have picked these up, they are a great score and look great all together. Now to find series 2 & 3!.

LOST- series 1 (Mcfarlane Toys)

LOST SERIES 1 (Mcfarlane Toys)

Review-
Definitely the current prize set of my collection. I loved this show, despite all the hub-bub of how it "lost" people and the ending was crazy. Yes, the show was all over the place and it even "Lost" me a few times in season 4-5. But in the end, I loved this show with all my being. I connected so much to this show it really drove me to collect the figures. Not only did this show influence my collecting the figures, this was my first "complete set" of sorts. Took FOREVER but I was able to locate all 10 figures along w/ the infamous "hatch" scene.

Series 1-
Charlie: http://www.spawn.com/toys/product.aspx?product=3033
Seems to be one of the "rare" ones to find. Took me forever to find still in the box. One of the greatest sculpts of the set in my opinion.

Kate: http://www.spawn.com/toys/product.aspx?product=3030
Kate was one of my least favorite characters on the show, but her figure was pretty impressive. The scene it recreates was pretty epic (smoke monster) and having this as a reminder of it's rampage is pretty exciting to me.

Locke- http://www.spawn.com/toys/product.aspx?product=3031
This was supposedly the "grail" of the set. These are going for WAY too much on Ebay, but I'm glad I scored one at a decent price. Locke was a very pivotal character on the show and my attachment to him went up and down.

Hurley- http://www.spawn.com/toys/product.aspx?product=3032
Gotta love hurley..if you don't..you don't have a soul :-) He really shined as a character on this show and I was glad to see him in a figure. The Golf Scene was pretty epic on the show, I almost wish though they went for him driving the Van somehow...that scene was my favorite.

Shannon- http://www.spawn.com/toys/product.aspx?product=3034
What went wrong here? Hot girl..laying on the beach? Oh yeah..hey character was a total bitch on the show ;-) I actually ended up with 2 of her simply because seems no one bought her...so not too much to say there..nice to look at I guess.

Jack- http://www.spawn.com/toys/product.aspx?product=3029
Jack....was the man. He owned the show and quite honestly was perfect for the role. The show-opening scene they recreated in this figure was what hooked everyone in. Fast paced, suspenseful and deep!

"The Hatch"- http://www.spawn.com/toys/product.aspx?product=3049
Well..if you watched the show..you know how epic and nerve rattling this scene was. When the light went on and the season faded to black....I think was one of the most intense scenes on television. This is the one box I REALLY want to open up..but I just have to save this one!

Final word:
NO SAYID?! (ever) NO SAWYER? (until series 2)..I think they really should have expanded on this series. I personally wanted Linus, bernard & rose, claire & baby...so much potential I think...much not have sold enough. Regardless...I am very proud to own and review series 1, look out for my post on series 2!

Expendables 2 action figures (Diamond Select)

YES!!!!

Expendables 2 figures...but...Where's Jet Li? Jason Statham? Chuck Norris? Bruce Willis? Where's the bad guys from the flick...Jean Claude??!

If they try and screw us like they did with the Battlestar Galactica Series, I'll be very upset. What I mean by that is, they drug it along a bunch of series and exclusives, then, didn't even finish. So I have an eerie feeling we won't see all the characters from this movie, but truth, I'll probably be picking these up.

#excited!
